I'm having all my chrome engine covers (primary, cam cover, trans top cover, and upper/lower rocker boxes) removed and swapped for wrinkle black on my '14 street glide and will be selling the chrome parts. I've been poking around the classifieds here and I'm seeing some people asking 5-6 hundred dollars for the set. Is that what they're going for? That seems pretty high. Don't most of the big twin models come with chrome pieces from the factory now? What other models will 103" covers fit? I was figuring if the chrome is worth $400, Id see if my engine builder would knock $250 off my bill for the other work he's doing and just keep the chrome pieces and sell them to a customer.

Sounds about right. I swapped a front end with my local custom shop for $150 worth of credit. Worse comes to worse you may work out some deal like that, but I imagine they'll find your $250 reasonable. If not ask for future credit.

The chrome on my bike is flawless, only has 3500 miles on it. I just figured it wasn't worth much because most bikes now come with chrome parts anyway. My wrinkle black parts were near $800.
