Default Over pants for work

In the Midwest there is still snow on the ground but I am thinking ahead to spring. Since I no longer have to wear a suit to work I am thinking of riding to work more often. What kind of over pants do you recommend to wear over dress slacks. I want something easy to put on and off and cool enough for summer. It gets plenty warm here in the Midwest. Thanks

Default I wear dress pants

I just got a pair of chaps. Put them on over pants. Remove chaps before walking in. Going to get rain gear also.

I wore my Fox Creek overpants to work last night- it was 30 degrees and I was pretty comfortable.
They were great in the rain on my ride home from work too.
I hate Washington state...

If you are a show skier you will know the term 'Powder Pants', most any ski shop will have them. They are light weight and made to wear over other clothing. Easy on and off, just not sure about how cool they would be in the summer.

I like Aerostitch products. They have several over pants and riding suits.

Just wear jeans and change your pants in the men's room when you get there. You could wear chaps instead, but they'll likely wrinkle your dress pants, especially when it's humid.

What ever you use make sure it is "pipe friendly", don't want it melting all over your pipes.

Now everyone can cue up the Village People comments

I wear a suit daily at the office, I normally wear leather pants when I'm riding anyway so I bought a pair of leather pants a size larger and wear them over the dress pants, I keep dress boots and coats in my office closet so it's a simple matter to remove the riding pants, coat, and boots, grab the dress boots and suit coat, put on the tie and it looks like I walked in the door that way.

As far as worries of being too warm, I'm an old Florida boy, I have not been warm since I moved up to this barren tundra, sometimes money isn't everything
