Eye Contacts While Riding ?
Hello Riders :
I am wondering if it would be safe or dangerous
to wear contacts while riding .?
I've never had contacts before , but I am liking the
idea, of not wearing my regular glasses .. so , i am curious
about having contacts on while riding ..
thanks for any insight .

"Thanks for any insight" .Pun intended? You have eye protection laws up there? Can't ride without glasses or goggles here.

Would probly be ok as long as you wear some type of goggles or sun glasses that keep the wind from blowing them out. Without that, I'd bet you would loose one or both of them in short order.

Contacts work great for me. Actually the only time I wear them is when I am riding. That way I am not limited to prescription sun glasses. Bell 500 and bubble shield mostly but sometimes I wear my half helmet with goggles or sun glasses.

I wear contact lenses and ride with riding sunglasses/clear glasses . I don't have any issues with them except they can feel dry at night when it's humid out so I sometimes use eyedrops before riding at night.

I wear contacts when riding with clear lenses or sunglasses on top. No problems when the glasses shield form the wind which can dry them out like the cat above me said. Windshield on a bike also helps keep the wind from drying them out, if you bike is so equipped.

I only wear my contacts when I ride. I usually wear sunglasses and I have no issues. I have ridden without sunglasses on cloudy days but I have a windshield. They do tend to dry out without sunglasses but I keep eye drops in my windshield bag and put drops in when I need them. Never had one come out while riding.

Been riding with contacts for 10 years, I wear panoptix glasses with the foam eye cups when I ride, occasionally have gotten a speck of dust but nothing I couldn't survive. Then again, I've worn contacts for 20+ years, I'm kinda used to them.
