I ordered a new Gerbings (same as H-D) heat controller for my jacket online a few weeks ago from "TheWarmingStore.com". Received it in a few days, no problem. When I opened the package I noticed the back of the unit is melted and discolored. I think it is a "second" or returned piece. You can't see this from the front of the blister package. I have tried contacting the company repeatedly by phone and e-mail. No response whatsoever. Guess I'll plug it in and see if it works. I usually don't buy this sort of thing online but thought I'd give it a try. Never again. After doing a Google search on this outfit, I found there are more negative reviews for this outfit than good. My bad.

 

I once ordered a camshaft for a small block Chevy v8 from Summit Racing.
The box and part number were correct but the stick inside was for a MOPAR.
Obviously the contents of the box was switched and then returned for a refund. You obviously have a similar situation, someone returned the heat control and then the store resold it to you. Summit took care of me, I would not let up trying to contact the warming store.

 

10-4. Most retailers are good about that. This one is apparently unreachable. I'll let it ride for a while. Can't do anything else about it. LOL

 

If you paid with credit card, dispute it.

Good idea. I actually paid with a balance I had in my PayPal account. I'll try to dispute it through them. Keep you posted.

Some how used parts get sent instead of new.

Ordered a Mustang seat from Classiccruisers,open the box and it was used.They took care of it.

Ordered a twin stick shifter for my Jeep,open the box and it was used dropped shipped from the mfg.
Had to make a claim with my CC company.got a refund.
