Default How much experience do you have riding?

How long have you been riding continuously? I've fairly new to being back in the saddle (2011), after spending 30 years between bikes.

Started riding dirt bikes when I was 10. First bike was a 1973 cr250 elsinore, couldn't even kickstart it myself, lol My first licensed vehicle when I turned 16 was a bike (mom loved that) a 1983 Kawasaki KE125, traded that up to a couple of crotch rockets and now on my fourth Harley..so all together 38 years, not bad since Im 47 now.

Continuously? The most I've ever ridden in a day was 1500 miles. Other than that, I usually take a few hours, or a day or two, or a winter between rides.

In my 38th year of street riding, started on the street on my 16th birthday and I was dirt riding for several years before that. Many track days and advanced riding courses and I don't see myself ever not riding, this winter mandated break I had to take has been way, way too long, I can't imagine how you stopped for 30 years but good to hear you're back in the wind...

Stated riding dirt bikes at 8-9.
Got my license at 16 in 1967, so coming up on 48 years of continuous riding on the street.

48 years on the street, a few more with dirt. I think because of the cost the Harleys riders will tend to be geezers. Not that it would also mean experience but a lot more life long riders.

"Years in the saddle" and experience do not necessarily correlate...

Dirt bikes at 8. Legal road riding from 16, now 46. I did relent and do my car test 5 years ago because British winters ****ing suck.
