At last!

At last!
February has been especially wretched in western Maryland, and it's been five weeks since I've been able to take the bike out. I was a bit concerned about the battery, because I garage the bike in a storage unit (no power) and she'd been sitting in the cold for longer than I would have liked. (Prior to Feb, I'd been able to get her out at least once every two weeks).
Anyway, it's cold and windy and there's snow everywhere, but she started up for me and I was able to get in a 25 mile ride. It felt good.
Now to wash off the road grime...

Me too! I went riding yesterday and today for 3 and 4 hours respectively. Before that, it was 2 weeks with nothing. And before that, 2-4 days a week since last winter. It was tough 2 weeks without riding.

LOL, thats not long to wait. You need to live up here to understand it. Our riding season runs from about April to October if you're lucky. When I lived in Winnipeg the bike was stored by about late september and didnt come out until early April. Sometimes you can get an afternoon ride in around November or March but you really need the heated gear for that. Its part of the reason that a lot of Canadians go south for a month or two......
