Amazed at all the Street Glides
Just returned from my first bike event (Daytona) and the big shock for me was all of the street glides. I saw very few sportys a few more dyna's and soft tails but the baggers especially the street glide definitely rules the roost. They are beautifull bikes and I am sure one will be in my garage some day but for them to outnumber everything else was simply amazing. This was just my observation, yours may be different.

Never thought I'd want a fairing. Tried out a '13 street glide cause the wife liked it. Came straight back and bought it. I use to say that I never enjoyed a bike so much in my life. I was wrong! Bought the '15 Screamin Eagle Glide in the avatar. THAT'S the best bike I've ever owned! Love riding all day and half the night able to listen to songs loaded on the radio w/o commercials and having the GPS to take off down a road that looks like someone spilt spaghetti on the screen.

The Street Glide has probably been HD's best selling bike for several years now.
Nothing at all wrong with a Sporty though either.
My Street Glide is my 3rd HD, and first touring model.

The Street Glide works for a lot of demographics - men, women, 1%, beginner, iron butt, etc.. It's the King of Beers and the F-150 rolled into one. People spend a bazzilion dollars customizing them so they won't be mistaken as a pack hound. So what's the problem? Nothing. It's a great bike. I nearly bought one. Then I realized it's limitations for the riding I do and backed off the deal. Regardless, it's the MoCo moneymaker.

Saw a post on another site from a guy who was asking everyone to keep an eye out for his stolen black SG. He included a pic, nothing had really been done to it to make it stand out. Like looking for a needle in a stack of needles haha!

Too much of a good thing might hurt a market saturated in Street Glides.
Fads come and go until the next big "gotta have it" bike from HD.
