My dealer sent me a flyer about a 2014 SuperGlide Custom for what looked to be a great price. Out of curiosity I went to HD website to check them out and I don't see it listed under the 2014 bikes which seemed kind of odd.


Anyone know anything about these? Did they drop the line for 2015 and why? Seems like a pretty decent looking bike.

 

In mid 2014 the Super Glide Custom was replaced in the lineup by the Low Rider.

 

Seems odd to drop mid year.

2012 and 2014 are identical, except I think the 2014 was 103" and the 2013 and older are 96".

2010-2014 basically the same bike. The 2009 and older weren't much different, biggest difference the motor/trans was silver instead of black.

 

IIRC, HD stopped building the 2014 Superglide late 2013 to prepare for the Lowrider introduction Feb. 2014.
2014 Superglides were hard to find when I bought mine in January 2014.
2014 Supers are the only ones with the 103 engine.

 

I guess I will go have a look this weekend. Thanks for the info. I've been eyeballing the street bob as a possible upgrade, but I'm digging the SG a bit more now. Of course that all means squat without a test drive.

 

Super Glide Custom is a great bike. I bought a new one in '09, put 25000 miles on it without a single problem. I traded it in on a Road King last month only because I wanted more long distance luggage capacity and better wind protection. I've had several H-D's since the '70s and the Super Glide was the best all around.

 

I bought mine last August when I found out that 2014 was the last year they were making that model. I found the black one I wanted & glad I did.My 1st HD and I really like it. Impressed with the quickness/acceleration.
