Default After 30+ Years, Sturgis Park will be part of the Rallye

Aw, the good ol' days of camping in the city park, burning picnic tables for firewood, tearing out the speed bumps for drag racing.

The city of Sturgis has decided to "open the park" this year for the rallye. Interesting historical article at link below!

WTF? 110 people have looked at this thread? Am I the only one here who remembers what Sturgis used to be back in the city park?

Nope I was there the year they bonfired the overflowing port-o-potties cause the honey truck driver was too scared to empty them, same year they hung that honda 750 from a tree after that idiot kid wiped out all those 1%er tents on it.

Miss the old school days and you have to remember the majority of this place are late comers to the harley gig and fewer still partied hardy back then.

I've never been and will never go, so I know squat about Sturgis, except for this spiracles I see on TV. I'm just trying to wrap my head around the spelling of "rallye".

LOL, chick, maybe I'm really "old school." To correct the title to this thread, I go to the British Biker Rallye and the Sturgis Rally!

And yes, they are both in the dictionary. Dictionary.com says you'll get a higher scrabble score using my spelling, and that few people know of that spelling.

Maybe they can hire some TSA to scan for illegal matches and lighters.

That's where it was when I first went in '74. Probably more than a few of us remember that. Then it was something to go for. A friggin' zoo, now.
