Need Help, cleaned & waxed, NOW streakes on fairing
Washed and waxed bike yesterday in garage. I used "Turtle Wax Black Box" on vivid black bike. I followed instructions. Wash & dry, Apply pre wax cleaner, clean, apply wax, clean, apply detailer. Instruction for both cleaner and wax state " apply using back and forth motion"
When all is finished and I put into sunlight I have lines of streaks that show through! They will not rub out with more wax and it is driving me crazy! What do I need to do to get rid of them? Do I now need to strip the new wax off somehow to get to them? Reading online I found a product called "Mequiars ScratchX" has anyone used this? Any help would be much appreciated!

Get used to it...black bikes suck, when it comes to painted surface "perfection." That ship sailed long ago for me...as long as bike's running good and not covered in bird/bug sh@t - ride on!
Sorry, but that's my take.

My wife has always had black cars. Streaks are always a problem after waxing. If you let it go too long between waxings, you will streak.
I usually wash, wax, and then wash again. That usually takes care of the streaks. If not, repeat the process.
Black is tough but looks great when you get it right.
Use a good quality wax. I've never used the color waxes, so can't give advice on my experience with it.

The Mequiars ScratchX is a good product. I use it on my black bike whenever I get a light scratch in the clear coat. Any good polishing compound should get rid of the streaks you have. After that, just use some good wax to finish it off. People spend big $$$ on products to keep these bikes looking good. Actually, all it takes it a little common sense, especially when dealing with black paint.

Well, I got the streaks out!! I went with Meguiars Ultimate Compound then finished up with Meguiars Carnauba plus wax. I learned a lesson with this.
