This REALLY sucks
Spring has sprung in the Northwest. 70 degrees and sunny today. My favorite activities are riding, golfing and boating, all of which are best enjoyed in the spring/summer. So, Tuesday I was doing some volunteer work. Moving a big rock and snapped my Achilles Tendon. Surgery next week. Doc says recovery and therapy will be a minimum of 4 months and more than likely 6 months (don't heal as fast at 69 as the young bucks). Well, spring and summer are now shot. Hopefully I'll be recovered for my annual 5K ride in September.
Alright, my whining like a little baby is done and no, it doesn't make me feel any better.

Your title hit it on the head...that REALLY sucks. Take it easy, don't push it and maybe you'll heal faster and get a month or two of riding in.

On the bright side, look at how much money you'll save on green fee's. Good luck with your recovery.

1 1/2 yrs ago I did the same thing..terrible injury...please take my advise, don't use crutches..find the devise that looks like a pirates peg leg...you will walk normally, both hands free..run if you want..search YouTube..Google..I forgot the name of it...I bought it new then sold for same price on Craig list when I was done...fantastic appliance...straps on and takes off in seconds too..
Stairs are a nightmare with crutches, believe it.
