So instead of slowing down or changing lanes, you keep speed and honk the horn

You nailed it! It was all dmanlv's fault. He should have never been out riding his motorcycle. Especially not in the left lane. We all know the left lane is the lane of death. What was he thinking?

Meh...The only difference between that and my daily ride to work is that yours was at night.

Actually I did slow down quite a bit. I do not ride in the right lane due to cagers coming out of all the blind side streets without stopping.

I don't think he was blaming the OP for this.. but some people (myself included) would have reacted much differently. I drive very defensively.. I don't care WHAT reason that truck has for coming at me.. I am doing doing everything I can to get the hell out of his way.

Hard to tell that from the video.. it looks like you maintain speed and just hit the horn.. if that is not what happened I'll take your word on that.. I wasn't there..

It does not even look like a close call to me. I would guess the pickup to be closer to 150 feet than 15 feet. Nothing here to see. Plenty of time to evade any issue.

Default hmmm

Might have thought he was in a center turn only lane, not the oncoming lane. not paying close enough attention, either way.

edit: Never said anything about there being a center turn only lane, only that he might have thought that he was in one. I've seen that a few times. I'm really surprised by the number of internet tough guys here.
