Harley Financing (Eaglemark) has a promo with rates as low as 1.99%.

Must take delivery by May 31st.

Looks good for those with good credit.

yep. some of us have to finance. doesn't mean that we're deadbeats or anything, just don't have 20k hanging around to spend.

if you finance 20k for 4 years, at 1.99%, at the end of that term, you'll have paid 823.36 in finance charges. that works out to $17.15 per month. i'm not telling you how to live your life, but for me, i'll pay the $17 to ride now instead of saving it up for 3 years, 10 months (the finance charges work up to about 2 months worth of payments) and missing a lot of good riding time.

I'm paying 1.9% on my bike. Why would I take $17k out of the bank when money is that cheap?

I'd bet those rates are before the stealer adds on their take to it.

Ding ding ding... we have a winner. That's how you do it if you can. Bike purchased in June 2011, financed for 2.25%, $2,500 down kept rest of $$ invested in blue chip portfolio with div yield of 3.65% and has experienced an annual growth of 10.24% since July 2011. Took the $350 payments from account each month since then. Bike will be paid off in 4 months, still have $13,369 in account as of today. (Don't factor in all my mods though

Yep, 1.99% is wonderful consolation for paying $2,000 in freight, prep and doc fees.
Don't forget taxes and tags too.
