HD VR 1000 Program Thread

I think it's legit. If they are not stupid money, I would actually really want one.
Didn't they have a street version last go around?

We'll see...but I doubt it. There were both race and street legal versions of the VR about 15 years ago. Watched Miguel Duhamel and Jay Springsteen race them at Daytona. The street legal versions were sold in Poland if I recall for homologation reasons...only a handful made it to the US. They show up for sale now and then. Not sure why Harley would spend money resurrecting the program...they've proven multiple times that they're not willing to go all-in on a race program. They last won Daytona a couple times in '68 and '69...then the Japanese landed. They tried again in 1994 with Duhamel in the seat of the new VR1000 but the bike couldn't get it done. VRs then started showing up in the AHRMA ranks ridden by guys like Jay Springsteen.
