Default Getting thru DMV

Temporary assignment from Florida. My dad brought his Harley here for me to ride. Haven't rode in a while but dropped endorsement. Any idea how I can get a California motorcycle endorsement on a Florida license.

If,You have a valid FL DL your half way there, You'd probably need to show proof of completing a MSF rider course, Here or there. Your CA, ME may transfer over, Don't know for sure. Just call and ask em, They like telling people what to do lol. And you'll need every scrap of ID you can get your hands on and proof of residence. GL

Oh and Welcome to HDF.

I believe that the only way CA will give you an endorsement is if you switch to a CA license, unless you're military. California is rabid about registrations and licenses. They want to get every dime that they can.

You cannot get a CA endorsement on a FL license. You might be able to get a CA motorcycle license as a standalone but you will have to show residency. Ask the FL DMV if you can get a FL endorsement on a CA license and see what they say, LOL.
You can turn in your FL lic and get a CA lic and apply for the CA endorsement as others have stated.

Common sense. What state do you plan on calling your home, and or what state will you spend the most time in. Once you decide, then just get the license with that state and add your endorsement. Simple.
But I can tell you no state is going to add another state's endorsement.

When I moved to nv from ca last year, my ca endorsement switched right over to my new nv lic, no problem. All states should have reciprocity.

California would make you take the written test for every endorsement that you have - car, motorcycle, commercial, hazmat, etc.

But, since he currently doesn't have the endorsement, they're not going to give it to him without getting a California DL.

I think you can get a M1 motorcycle license by itself. I don't think you have to get the Class C then get the M1 endorsement. At least that what I thought it said on the website. But you will have to pass both the C written and the M written test to get the permit and then pass a rider skills test or a CHP approved class to complete the license.
