Default Fork seal blew and leg looks roughed up.

My right fork seal blew so I tore them both down today to get the lowers powder coated while I'm at it. The leg that blew has some roughness and the bushing on that leg looks way more worn than the one on the good leg. Anyone have any advice on this? Id hate to rebuild it only to tear it back down in a month.

First two are the good leg. Notice the difference in the bushings.

Also I didn't pay attention when I took the seal out and have no idea which end is up and which is down.

Rebuild kit should have new bushings in it , if not they are cheap comparatively and the end with the bush fixed on the tube goes in first .

It did come with the new bushing but I'm just worried about the scuffs on the actual tube and the difference in wear between the two bushings.

Roll your tubes on a flat surface to see if they're straight.

the seals are way above the bushings, look at the tubes where the seals ride..
also the "upper bushings" are in the slider.

If you can't feel anything when running a finger nail across the area you think is marked up your good to go, if it feels rough or scored tubes are hashed and this is only for the area where the seal rides , don't worry about the lower.

I'd go over it light with some wet emery paper to get any high peaks exposed and get a better eye at it. Should be able to rub down the highs a bit. Just don't rub too hard as to take the OD down (outer diameter) Bushings and seal should "bed in" fine after that.

I can definitely feel it with my finger, but in not 100% sure that the seal rides on it. The rough area is about 3 inches from the bottom of the tube, so I wouldn't thing the seals would ride on that part. I'll get a better look and pic when I get home.
