Default Baffles Different Colors

I put on new baffles last year and as I rode I noticed the lower one got way darker than the higher one but never looked into it.

Last weekend I was riding and I got so low into a corner that I scraped the bottom of the pipe, which led me to take a picture, which led me to finally try and figure out my issue of the mismatched pipes.

With a single carb setup, I would imagine both should wear (or age) the same. Does this indicate an issue in my front cylinder?

If it was heat related, the lower one actually travels farther so you would think it would have more time to cool before heading the baffle at the end.

I've done quite a bit of searching for this issue, but came up short. IF this is an obvious issue, well then, my apologies.

Just a guess but the rear jug runs hotter because it's behind the front cylinder. Hot equates to lean , hence the cleaner baffle.
thread title should be baffled by the baffle.
