as per the instructions given by 90% of you on here, when i cracked open my primary, i was told not to bother changing the gasket. it'll be fine, they said. i've reused mine 3 times already, they said. well, mine leaks. now i have to pull the thing off again. thanks, jerks!
So is 3 times the max they can be reused? I reused mine now 3 times as well. Next time a problem or did the OP maybe tweak it a little? Is there a max reuse?

Its hard to believe that 90% of the experienced forum members are wrong, but it should always be understood that they're offering advice and personal opinions, .....ultimately the decision lies with you.
It's important to fully degrease the surfaces, gasket confirmed in good condition, and tighten down in the correct sequence and torque - I'm not assuming that you didn't, just mentioning it.
Like the majority here, I also believe that the OEM gaskets are good, but James gaskets are just that little bit better.
A forum search will confirm that you should stay clear of Cometic.
To me, any "spring loaded dumbass" should know to replace gaskets always.... unless they want to take a chance on doing it a second time. Again this is only my opinion.
