Default Frame, Chipped Paint Fix.

My bike getting some years on it now has some chipped spots on the frame and I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for a good unnoticeable fix. Is it coated with Epoxy paint and would that maybe work from an aerosol can?

I've heard the frames are powdercoated. Haven't asked anyone official, though. Depending on where the spots are, if you're looking for a cheap, quick fix, just clean it real good. Take a rattle can, spray it into the cap, and then brush it on out of the cap - unless you're really good at masking. Spraying it directly will give you a smoother, less noticeable finish.

I don't know how long that'll last, but I reckon it'll tide you over until you can do something more permanent.

I like the little bottles of touch up paint better , paints thicker and fills & blends in the chips better.

If it's small chip I sometimes use a toothpic and the small paint bottles.
Or, they make some microbrushes like these.

I would brush or dab it on.

They also make these micro sanding pens to rough up the surface if it's down to metal
I've even glued some sandpaper to the eraser on a pencil to prep the area.

And finally, "the blob eliminator", used to smooth out the paint and blend in the repair.
I think you could do the same thing with a credit card, some cloth and some polishing or rubbing compound.
