Default 1998 FLHR passanger backrest

I have always been able to find my answers by searching, without posting, until today. I am having a very difficult time trying to figure out how to purchase the right passanger backrest. Some use a docking kit, but it doesn't look like I have the matching set up for that on the bike. Any suggestions? It doesn't have to be quick-attach. I just need the most basic of back rests to use until I can afford a fully incoperated seat with backrests. Thanks a ton in advance!!

Not sure how I didn't come across that before. I will be heading out to the dealer today to check out their set-up and price. I have a feeling the one from Dennis Kirk will be the answer though. Thanks a ton guys!!

I have a 1998 road king Classic.
If you want the quick detach style PASSENGER back rest then you will require a docking kit.
I would suggest the detachable style since it will permit removal when riding one up.
When using a detachable kit, you should add a few extra washers behind the upper bag supports.
The part your saddle bags attach too.
The part you already have as shown in the picture.
The part were the Zeus clip is located.
The extra washers behind that part will angle out the saddle bags at the top when mounted and prevent the saddle bag lids from rubbing against the docking hardware.
The kit brings 2 washers/spacers but generally that is not enough and all 4 parts should be pushed out a little.
This is a link to the docking kit i believe you need but double check..
