Default lifters in the spring

Have a 76 shovelhead. Been with her for 30 years. The last couple of years I don't have much compression when kicking it over in the spring. Last time I had to readjust the lifters to get a good compression stroke. Is this normal, or am I in need of new lifters? (hydraulic)?

Need a little info , what lifters you running now hyd. or solids ? What's the general condition of the bike ? Miles on her ? Any work been done to her and when ? Not uncommon for a tired motor to have low compression till she get oiled up well again after sitting.
