Out of Province Inspection

Out of Province Inspection
Hello,
After searching the threads I haven't been able to find my specific question.
I'm looking to buy a 2007 Nightster 1200. The owner has put Vance and Hines short pipes on the bike. This bike is registered and insured in British Columbia. I need to bring it back to Alberta, hence the out of province inspection.
Should I be buying stock OEM exhaust for the bike so the inspection passes? Of course the owner sold his stock exhaust.
Has anyone ever had an out of province inspection? What are some common things that fail an inspection?
Thanks!

There should not be an issue with the pipes, as long as there is no visible alterations with them. Most common failures are the brakes, lighting and horn. Check online for provincial safety restrictions for motorcycles for a safety check list. I remember when I needed to get my softtail done years ago with Big Shot 3 on it. the safety inspector didn't even pay attention to the pipes just to make sure they were bolted on properly.
