Default Won't crank over

Recently, I put a 103 engine in my 2004 Ultra Classic, now it appears I have a intermittent problem with the bike. Sometimes when I shut it off to refuel or after it is shut off for some other reason it cranks over real slow & won't start, this don't happn all the time. Battery is only 2 yrs. old & checks out fine, I checked the battery connections and there tight, would really appreciate any suggestions on what could be the problem....Thanks

Does the ECM in your bike have the capability to recognize the ACR's that the 103 has and if it does are they activating?

The 2004 ECM's do not have ACR capability. Unknown if the OP's engine even has ACR's. He didn't say.

Did you check the battery cables at both ends and not just at the battery?

I was under the impression that all the 103 engines have ACR. Of course, I've been wrong before.

If the OP doesn't have them activated somehow, you'll need to install a manual set of ACR's or pony-up for a set of S&S Easy Start cams.

A factory 103 would have them. But if he has a big bore 96 to a 103 he may not.

It definitely does sound like a problem with the ACRs though.

+1 if it's a Bog Bore kit rather then factory.
