Default Clutch problems on sportster

Hi I'm new to here but I really need help. I have a 07 sportster 1200 and I recently tried adjusting the clutch under the derby cover. But when I did I forgot to release tension on the lever and now I can't pull the clutch in at all. I've even went back and tried loosening it in the derby cover too! I talked to a Harley tech and they said they wouldn't be able to say unless they saw it, and I'm trying to avoid shop costs. Any ideas? Please help!

Loosen the cable first, then go back under the derby cover and set that. Then take up the slack in the cable. Nothing else you can do.,,,

You might have over pulled the clutch cable causing the part that pushes the clutch pushrod in and out to get jammed. I don't know how to access that part on your bike. Sorry. But if it is it's an easy fix. At least on my bike. Sorry I can't help further

Sounds to me you have the clutch adjusted to all the way in so the clutch
has no more adjustment left. First Google Sportster clutch adjustment (plenty of youtube videos on how to do it).

My recommendation is to open the derby cover, loosen the locknut on the screw adjuster and unscrew it all the way back out. Loosen the clutch cable to get a lot of slack in the cable. Now adjust the screw back in until you just feel it give resistance. Turn the screw back out 1/4 turn. While holding the
screw were it is, tighten the lock nut back up without letting the screw turn. Then, go back to the clutch cable adjustment and take up the slack in the cable to where you have about 1/8 inch of play before the lever starts to engage the clutch.
