Looking for help on tuners
I have V&H slips on my 2010 Deluxe and I going to put HD Screaming Eagle hi flow AC on. So, I am confused on the tuner put of the upgrade. I would like to get the HDSE tuner and install myself. I have read so much on this that I am still not sure how this all works. I would like to be able to download a canned tune, i think? What I dont want to do is take it to the dealer for a dyno with just a little stage one system. Its way expensive. Can some one clear this up for me. Is it tough to down load a tune your self to your bike, or should I just have the dealer do it?

What you do with the canned map now in the ECM after that is a completely different discussion.

You are better off getting a Power Commander V,versus the HDSE. I've got the Harley tuner, and it doesn't have near the versatility of the PC V. Buy from Fuel Moto, and you can get tailor made setups for free, direct from them.
Only reason I have the HDSE is,it came with the bike,as the previous owner had done a stage lll on it. Going to switch to the PC V,much more user friendly, and excellent support for downloads.

I can only speak for the SEPST and V&H FuelPak. The last three bikes I had I put the SEPST on. Worked fine and was able to tune the bike myself. The bikes ran great. There is a thread dedicated to it with lots of help. The bike I have now is an '06 without O2 sensors and I am running slip-ons and stage1 A/C. I am using a V&H FuelPak I bought used and it works ok with a canned map

Find a tuner you are comfortable with. Lots of information on this forum.
DynoJet Power Vision is a good tuner, I have 2, one on a 2014 and one on a 2015. They are very simple and user friendly.
Go here and watch a few videos:

If you're trying to find out just what a tuner does and how it does it read the first 30 - 40 pages of this:

Good Luck

I'm at the same place you are. I have been running my Street Cannon slip-ons since April of 2014.
Picked up a SE Hi-flo AC from local HD Dealer and a DynoJet Power Vision from Fuel Motto over the winter.
In about 2 weeks I'm installing the Power Vision. I want to use the gauge features to see things like MPG and engine temp before and after, AC and tune install.
Power Vision arrived preprogram with appropriate tune.
