Riding in Texas this week
So after watching CNN do their reporting of the Waco issue on Sunday afternoon. Does this mean that the police will be harassing all bikers even if they are non affiliated. Too bad that the actions of a few, create problems for allot. Just my opinion.

The police are very familiar with the Bandidos and some other motorcycle gangs. The Waco police knew that there was going to be trouble, and they were literally there at the Twin Peaks restaurant when all this happened. I don't think that they will bother the pleasure rider because they have bigger fish to fry. It will be interesting to see what kinds of precautions will be taken at the Republic of Texas Rally in Austin in June.

I've heard of the Bandidos, but didn't know they were still around. Out here, it's HA, Mongal and Vago. But for the most part, it's just a whole bunch of pleasure riders.

Not flying colors to avoid unwanted attention and all...

Get real............Why would anyone in Texas care about you, your bike, or your non affiliated dress attire? Cops got enough to do without harassing pirates.

I can't remember now where I read it, but I did read somewhere that they were discouraging doing any riding in the Waco area for a while. I think they are expecting more fall out from this weekends events.

The key to this question is anyone sporting their colors will no doubt catch some of the runover from the shootings.

I've heard a couple of accounts where unaffiliated bikers were stopped and lightly questioned, "Where ya headed?" type questions. But, only in the Waco area. I haven't heard that it's happening elsewhere.
