Double H Engineer boots are classics, made in USA, and less expensive.

I have had a couple pair and excellent quality for the money. And made in US is usually my deciding factor. Currently using Chippewa I picked up from Fox Creek and an excellent boot. If on the other hand you want to buy HD branded junk made in China, Pakistan or wherever, good luck. Conversely, if you can find vintage HD boots still made in US more power to you. I have had a pair for longer than I can remember and still in awesome shape.

I know that some of Harleys boots are made by Wolverine. I am not sure those particular ones are, but you might check and see if wolverines has the same boot in a non Harley branded version.

I have ridden with Bates, Justin and Redwing.. Bates are the most comfortable, Justin are in the middle and the steel toe red wines are waterproof but taller in the toe than all the others which makes shift nearly impossible.. All are holding up well
