Default Looking to install glove boxes on my lower fairings...

Hello everyone!

I'm new here and I'm new to how forums work, so sorry if I'm doing this wrong.

I just purchased my first Harley. A '96 Road King with lower fairings and I'm looking to add the glove boxes to those fairings, being that the fairings are just the outer shells. All of my google searches show entire fairings or the felt-lined inserts or the doors (that I see everyone replacing), but I can't find the actual kit or housing that fits into the fairing, with the felt-lined insert & doors included. Any ideas as to where I might be able to purchase the entire kit?

Thank guys!

Default Glove Boxes ?

The glove boxes, you refer to, are moulded into the plastic when the are formed. The only piece formed separately is a top piece that becomes the top clamp on the engine guard bar, otherwise they are all one piece.
I would contact the people you bought them from.

According to the previous owner, the fairings were offered in 2 pieces. He only bought and installed the outers. I want to add the inners and it's almost impossible to find them. Arghh...

This black piece...

Piece of advice; start two list of things you want to do.
One list of things you need/want ASAP.
One list of things you would like to do.

Then start routinely looking at craigslist and e-bay.

As for the covers:
Check e-abay.

It kinda depends on which lowers you have installed. In looking at ronnies microfiche the glove boxes that fit in lowers from your year are P/N 58683-89A and 58684-89A. Doors are 58679-90 and 58681-90. Those numbers only apply if the lowers on your bike are correct for your model year.
