Can somebody tell me if a Dunlop 491 Elite will fit on a...
1997 Road King? This is a MU90B16 78H tire. My rear tire is toast...bands are showing through. A buddy has a brand new Dunlop that he's willing to give me but I don't know if it will fit??? I had an Avon MT90B16 73H on it.
My second question has to do with how well this tire would handle with the Avon on the front??? Will I need to buy a front tire to match or can I get away with just swapping the rear? Thanks!

Yes it will fit but it will be tight.
You will have to trim your lower belt guard (if you have one) a little.

Oh and for all questions about your EVO bike you should post in the EVO section.
The newer bikes have different parts and the guys over there are very smart about EVO's.

I know it is a very sticky tire and the Avons are supposed to be (I'v never tried one) so you should be ok.
I loved the Elite II's.
I hate it that Dunlop discontinued them!!!
