Default Fob question

I got the bypass code for DH's RKC from the dealer. My question is...once you use the code to start the bike, does the Fob work as normal the next time you start the bike with the Fob?

There are no stupid questions....right?

Yes it does. I have started the bike several times with my code because my fob was upstairs on my dresser and I was feeling lazy. Next time I had the fob no issues starting normally.

I always keep my FOB with me because I hate getting the book out that tells me how to start it with out it. I have practiced doing it a few times.

It's always in my pocket, hooked onto a clip and I never take it out, until I change jeans.

Put my override instructions in my phone. Haven't had a situation to use it yet. My luck I'll be caught with a dead phone when the time comes.

Yes, your bike will start just fine with the FOB next time.

Think of the bypass code as a 2nd or 3rd FOB.
All you are doing is manually sending the signal that allows your bike to start.
Your not changing anything in the security system.

Every time you shut the bike off, that signal needs to be sent again to start.
Either via the FOB or manually entered with the bypass code.
Does not matter what method is used to send that signal.

Thanks for reminding me, i don't even know what my current code is, I don't think i ever set this bike up, so it might be a stock code. I keep reading forums about this and changing your fob batteries, i can hear the train coming, yet here i sit doing neither LOL.
