Red Wing 1907
Anyone wear these while riding? They look like awesome boots and one of the few Red Wing boots still made in the USA. Just wonder how they hold up to riding and mostly the rain. Currently have engineer boots with no laces, they work pretty well but are about shot. Looking to get some new ones soon.

I have chronic achilles tendonitis, can't wear boots anymore.
Used to wear Chippewa eng. boots when riding, now I have to wear my New Balance tennis shoes with the laces real loose.

These are probable one of Red Wing best sellers..Been wearing this style for year.Sears also had a knockoff that i also wore.Alot of boots out there...Red Wing is a proven brand. If you like them go for it,i dought you will be sorry EXCEPT for what they cost. But you only have one pair of feet...Treat them rite and they should last you a lifetime...
Personally i have boots for riding and boots for work, boots for dress ect....
Good Luck....

I bought a pair of the Red Wing (Irish Setter) Wingshooter boots, 9 inch. Sure was happy the last couple of weeks, 2975 miles in 7 days, probably half the time in a rain suit. My feet were always dry.

I've had shoe/boot laces get caught on the shift pegs before. I like the Red Wing 1216 6" boot with the BOA lace system. Same boot with safety toe is the 4216.

I went into the red wing store in Daytona not too long ago to try on some boots. I left with nothing in hand. It's a small store and doesn't have every boot so this comment is limited to the U.S. made logger and lineman boots.
Unfortunately, each boot I put on immediately didn't feel good. I expected serious foot beds at these prices but if I want to ride and walk in them, I'd have to spend another 80-100 bucks for custom foot beds. They're heavy as hell and should be, I"m sure if you're actually a lineman, these would be great boots to climb in (not that too many linemen actually climb anymore) but to ride and walk in, I won't go to350- 400 bucks to get there.
