Default So how long will it be before we see a six speed sporty

The sportster needed this way back in 2004 when they came out with all the 04 up grades and we're still waiting .

Ain't never gonna happen. Want six? Get a 1HD1.
They already have that engine geared to it's best performance. The only thing they'll do is add another gear in-between low and high,, what's the sense of that?

I could see it happening down the line.

The new Streets have a six speed. So does the Sportster new "rival", the Scout.

The Sportster transmission's fine. No need for an extra gear, especially with how wound up that engine likes to get.

Who knows except the Company?

6th gear could be implemented for miles per gallon increases and noise enforcement.

As is, the current 5 speeds seems well geared for legal speeds.

With the final output ratio being 1-1 with the 4, 5, or 6 speeds what would be the point ? You just like shifting more ?
