So I decided on pipes and some chrome accessories for the new glide. Vance and Hines Ovals slip on exhaust. K&N or SE Air cleaner and download to improve performance.
Gonna go with the streamliner floorboards and pegs. Gonna go with the slotted covers on the engine and alternator.
For lighting etc goin with the white covers and LEDs for the fender caps and white lenses on the front and red on the rear turn signals.
Sounds pretty good so far and I think it will look awesome when incorporated.
I went to the garage to ride to the dealer to order the stuff and discuss it with them as well as the upcomming 1000 mile service and the rear tire is flat!
517 miles and the rear tire is flat and wont hold air.
I called the dealer and was told i must have obviously run over something because they just dont go flat. The tire is perfect, nothing in it, no thorns, nails, screws etc NOTHING. air is coming out around the spokes. Obviously the tube has failed. AND THEIR ATTITUDE WAS ITS MY FAULT?
what a crock of horse poop. The damn bike can sit in the garage until I get the manuals that I ordered just now online and NOT from that dealer.
I suppose the scratches in the paint and chrome that I discovered are my fault too.
Dammit i am pist.

yeah, not a fan of spokes and inner tubes myself. nice bling, but roadside repair, and general reliability are better for tubeless tires IMO.
in the meantime, have em pick up the bike, find the misinstalled and crimped tube, and fix it. its all talk until the wheel comes off and the actual cause of the flat is found.

Don't get to worked upit's just a flat.
Call and ask to talk to the owner or drive over and talk to them.
How long have you had it?

It is possible what you ran over is no longer in the tire. new tires go flat just like used tires. Sometimes it is just bad luck. If you go in there acting aggressive you may be quite embarrassed if it is not their fault.

OK the bike is fixed and I got some vindication out of the ordeal.
Took the bike to the shop this morning and they squeezed me in and pulled the tire off of the rim. Once they did that they saw a tear / cut in the tube as well as the rim band. With that sort of damage it was obvious to them and to me that it was an assembly anomaly as some swarf was left in the wheel ( probably a piece of chrome flash) that was never recovered.
They installed a new tube and had me back on the road in a reasonable time. Exhaust and stage one kit are ordered and scheduled for installation on the 18th.
400 miles to go . .Hope I make it.

Glad it all worked out... I figured it would be something like that when I read your opening post. As soon as you said air coming out around the spokes that was the clue -it's an assembly/mounting issue and it's the dealer's baby...
