Default Need info on replacing Cow Bell horn rubber mount

I got the redesigned rubber cushioned cow bell mount from Jason for the FCS fans. This has a longer stud to accommodate the fans. I'm ready to install it...but can't find the link to the instructions that were previously posted on this forum. Can someone provide, or point me to, the instructions on how to replace the rubber cushion mount for the cowbell horn on touring bikes??

Thanks,...

You might want to cross-reference the mounting instructions for the people that still know how to ride a motorcycle that doesn't still have a set of training wheels attached to it. JS

That rubber isolation mount is really in there good from the factory. It's not uncommon to actually tear them in half trying to get them out.

I've found that a pair of channel-lock pliers work well. Just use them to grip the isolation mount directly on the rubber part and hold them really tight. It should break free.

I've ripped mine in half with channel locks because of all the red loctite that was used from the factory.

When I did my wife's fan, I wasn't able to get it out without tearing it. Luckily, it was under $10 from the dealer. After it ripped in half, I took the head bridge mount (or whatever it's called) off and drilled out the other stud to remount the new rubber. It was only a minor pita.
