Powder coating gas tank

Powder coating gas tank
Tried posting in Tech Forum, but no response. Can anyone tell me if I were to powder coat my gas tank, would I need to remove the fuel sending parts inside the tank? Can the pump, hoses, etc hold up to the 400 F temps needed to cure powder coat? Thanks for any help.

stripped bare, dry ice in the tank or nitrogen to displace fumes after a few days of an air house blowing in the tank to get the vapors out.
If any part of the tank had been soldered it will melt away
also powder coating does not like chemicals or gasoline, the stuff is nice, but it is not impervious to chemicals.
why would you PC it as opposed to a base/clear paint matched to the powder?
you scratch PC and there is no easy fix.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like I will just pull everything out of tank and get it pc'd. Never thought of painting tank and coating the fenders - just figured I would do them all the same. Got quote for $1700 from local painter for f/r fenders, gas tank, rear fender struts, license plate bracket, tank dash. Local powder coater quoted me $250 for prismatic powder with clear coat for nice wet looking finish. Hard to beat that price. Hell, I even thought about coating the freight train nacelle, handlebars and exhaust for that pricing, but not sure how it would look. I will pull the ignition switch decal before coating the tank dash - started to fade and want to replace anyway.
