If I have a 4.5" tire on the back of a Switchback, will swapping for a 5 incher make for any noticeability in the ride comfort at all? Theoretically, I know it would, cause you'll have a bit more cushion added to the saddle impact. I was wondering if anyone here had in fact switched out for a size up in tire width and seen a difference at all... Talk ta me... Thx!

I put this tire on last year and it is awesome. It is about an inch wider than the stock Dunlop. If you put a 5" tire on there the rim will squeeze the tire and deform it's shape. It wont be rounded anymore and you'll actually lose a great deal of your contact patch.
I have a Switchback as well. The way this tire is shaped allows full use from edge to edge and it's very soft and sticky. I've got 3,500 miles on mine and it's still looking great. I think I'll get close to 8K out of it. Which isn't bad for a tire that will have you scraping floor boards on every corner.
