Default Ride-on tire sealant/balancer

Picked up two bottles of Ride-On at JP Cycles while I was in Sturgis yesterday.
Put it in today and as far as balancing goes it does what it says.

One thing else I noticed is that for as long as I can recall I've always had a slight wobble during deceleration when slowing below 35 mph.
It appears that wooble is now gone.

For $15 a bottle I'd say it's worth it.
Next time it's time for tires I think I'll attempt to put them on myself and use the Ride-on to balance.

I've been using Ride-On for years and have been very happy. I've never had to test the sealant aspect of it but I've never had any wobble or balance issues that I've noticed either.

Mixed review here.
I bought my 09 Super Glide used with 15K on it, tire mileage un-known,, both Dunlop factory size after market.
The rear tire was pretty worn so after about 1K I replaced it with a new Pirelli Night Dragon and used Ride-On,, no problem,, balance, ride and feel is great!
So to continue the experiment, I pulled the weights off the front Dunlop 401 and filled it with Ride-On, added the extra as recommended by them,, follow what I'm sayin?
Now, the front tire has some cupping on the outside edges, you can see it with yours eyes and feel it with your hand, but more important I can feel it steering when I lay into a corner.
As said,, It's a mixed review. In all honesty I can't say the front tire wasn't going bad before I added the Ride-On.
With the age and actual mileage of the front tire an un-known, it could be that my riding style is just different then the previous owner and caused a different kind of wear,, that "cupping" is cause enough to replace it soon..

IMO Ride On is the best thing you can do for your tires and have used it for the last 10 to 15 tire changes. In your case I hope you are regularly checking your tire pressure, and I don't mean with a POS stick gauge. Get a good one that is reliable and use the recommended pressure. I like 40 in front and 42 in rear. Have never had cupping issues.

Tubeless tires and Ride On in them is the only way to roll!

I put ride on in my front and rear tires on my 48. I did however keep the wheel weights on. My wheels were pretty much balanced and I looked at it like the ride on would just fine tune the balance. I have noticed some benefit (a little less vibration in the handlebars and pegs) but then again, my wheels were pretty well balanced and trued to start with.

I primarily got it for the minimum sealing capability on tubed tires. It has been decades since I had a flat on a tubed tire, but if it is just a small puncture (and no rip to the tube), along with some air cartridges I carry, it might get me home or to a local dealership. I have motorcycle towing on my insurance, but, if I can take care of something myself (or no cell service) I might have a "chance" to get going again (hope I never have to find out....)

I think I will use Ride On from now on, on any bike I may own in the future.

I've had 3 sets of tires with Ride On.

I had a "flat" a few months ago BUT with Ride On in my tires, I went 200 miles before the tire broke loose from the rim. Luckily, I was at a gas station, aired it up and rode it home. I don't have tires on my bike without it.

Default OP: Great thread! Thanx

Thanx to all for posting. I've been looking for ways to be more prepared for the eventuality of a flat.

My question to you guys is: have you had any adverse effects from putting goop in your tires?? I've read that some will rust spokes, others form clumps that also promote corrosion.

I have tubeless on stock aluminum wheels. Would definitely like to hear what you guys have already figured out.

Thanx again. Ride safe

P.S. What is the advantage of this goop, anyway? Just balancing?
