Here in Louisiana we are close to a new record for most days in July over 90 degrees. Seeing some roads buckling.

Way back, lived in Overland Park. Wasn't uncommon to see 102 every so often.

Here in southern Ontario (just outside Toronto), it's currently 37C (97F). It's been like that for the past week, and is expected to be like that for the coming week. Warm, for sure, but not unusual for us. That said, in February, we had a week or so when it was - 37C (-38F). Also not unusual for us.

Our temperatures are now topping out at 100° but that's normal. And we still have August to go.

When I lived in the Philippines (1981-1984), normal temps were in the 38 to 40C (100 to 104F) range each and every day. And that wasn't counting the extremely high humidity. At the time, I was riding a Yamaha XT500. Kickstarting it was always a lot of fun.

Wait till your kickstand sinks into the asphalt sometime , even more fun if you don't find it till after dark and it's hardened back up a bit.
