Default Help! Stuck on Monteagle!

We are on our way back to Florida from Sturgis and my son's bike needs a tire. He needs a 180/17. Does anybody know of a close place to get a tire?

There are a few shops in Monteagle that may or may not have that size. There are Harley dealers in Chattanooga (about 58 miles) and Dalton (about 78 miles) that probably have it.

Good luck.

D-H Cycle,7659 Hillsboro Hwy, Hillsboro, TN 37342,
(931) 596-3339, that is the closest thing I can find on google right now, it's about 16 miles north of Monteagle on highway 41 which runs north and south on the east side of I-24 right there. Don't know if they can help you or not.

So you left on a long trip with your son's tire so badly worn that it wouldn't make back? Kind of dangerous, lucky nothing bad happened to him. Except that your trip got screwed up and you're at the mercy of whatever dealer you find to overcharge you for a tire.

Wow! Thanks nevil, just what I need after a 5000 mile trip. a know it all smartass. To clarify for you the tire had about 2500 miles on it when we left. It should have easily made the trip. I expect to get more than 6500 miles out of a $320 tire. The tech told me they use a softer compound in Dyna tires and that is why they don't last.

Next time why don't you ask a couple of questions before jumping to an erroneous conclusion about my safety concerns for my son.
