8" or 10" Twin Peaks Handlebars In DFW?
I know this is pretty doubtful but I thought I would post to see if there is anybody in the DFW area with 8" or 10" Twin Peaks handlebars on their bike that I could possibly sit on and get an idea for how they feel. I love the looks of the bars but before all the time, trouble and expense I need to be sure. Also if there are any opinions on them from owners, I would like those also. I love the look of the 10" and think I would like the feel better but I've heard that it puts your hands in the wind above the batwing and I don't think I would like that. I read that the 8" are only about 1/2" higher than stock and that is disappointing.

I put the 10" Santee's on my SG last year and while it does put the knuckles above the top edge of the fairing, it's actually not as bad as you would think. Like you I didn't think I would like it, but it doesn't bother me at all. You will have to install bar mounted mirrors too. I had my inner fairing painted and mirror holes filled while the bike was down.

I have 10" Yaffe MBB's on my street glide. Hands are in the fairing, but near the top. Search for a thread in the touring or Rushmore parts called "let's see the apes" or similar. There are tons of pics in that thread.
I'm in Burleson and can meet you but it will be a few weeks. Send me a PM if that's not too far out for you.
