No tips I'm sorry to say, just wondered if that chrome paint really works, does it look like chrome ? Thinking of painting one of my risers with it where some of the chrome has flaked off, crap metal underneath to, typical Harley.

Brush some Rustoleum silver on the scrapes and ride on.

It happened to me too... but, I was just making a right turn, coming off an incline downwards to the road surface. It was enough to scrape my new Vance and Hines pipe! I was quite annoyed, but motored on and don't look at the scratch anymore! It's hard to miss it.

Scrapes show you actually ride. They're character marks.

Chrome paint will give you a silvery color. It will not look like chrome at all. The "chrome" in the name is just a marketing name the manufacturer assigned to the product. The only thing you can do is to replace the pipes or get a chromer to re chrome it for you if it bothers you that much. I have scratches on both of my pipes (I have a bagger) from off-camber turns and imperfections in the road surface (i.e. bumps) in the curves. Scratches are just a part of riding your bike if you ride aggressively. Don't sweat it. Just ride and have fun.

What is my skill level when I wore the edges of both floor boards to a knife edge on a Road King?
