Default It's hot outside today...

I had to go to court in Jacksonville today and it looked like there would be no rain, at least for the ride up, so I took the bike. It's almost 150 miles each way. The temperature was 99°. I made it there and went inside and the opposing party moved for a continuance. It took all of 5 minutes before I turned around and rode home. Wound up doing 293 miles in just under 5 hours, including time spent in court, and the temperature never dropped. I'm glad I got paid to ride, I earned it in that heat...

On my ride home today it was 107. Luckily it was a 30 min ride.

I do not envy you all back east with humid summers. I can handle and enjoy triple digits with humidity below 20%. Humidity just makes me feel sick.

When it rained the whole month of May, it hasn't rained since then. And since then, we've had triple digits for at least half of that time. It's just too hot to ever get the mail.

About the only time it's worth getting out is before 11:00.

Mild 90 or so here at 5200' in Reno. I bought altitude to get away from summer heat. You can have FL in the summer.
Las Vegas and Lake Havasu is brutal right now.

It was only 100 here today. I ride to the gym everyday, about a 85 mile round trip and lately the temp has ranged from 105-107. Thankfully, the humidity has only been 15% or less.

I ride after work just around sunset. Just too nasty hot in the south right now and I don't find it enjoyable one bit sitting in traffic in the upper 90's.

You can always trailer your bike to Court next time, I just had to get that one in there

I'm East of you on the other side of town. It was a scorcher for sure. Then we got a little bit of relief...about 6p the wind picked up, thunderstorms and a short downpour. Marble size hail, too. Knocked the temps down to the mid 70's. Did ya'll get any of it?

It's raining right now, probably about a half inch with a lot of lightning but no hail in Missouri City. We need the rain, I'm glad to see it.

I got a nice ride in this morning out to Brazos Bend State Park, 65 mile ride round trip. I left at 9AM and got back before 11AM, so I was able to get back before it got too hot.
