Default Phone app to track your ride

I always see people posting about their runs or bicycle rides about how far they went and where. After the 'who gives a xxxx part, I thought 'hey it'd be cool to be able to do that on my bike'.

I guess I'm probably like a lot of people in that I try and get lost and wind up finding new roads with few stops and nice turns in them out in horse/farm/mountain country, whatever. Problem is it always takes me a few times to get the ride down in my head.

So - million dollar idea - turn your phone on and it tracks the ride for you so you can go back and check all the places you went. Of course when I look it up its already been done. The app is Eat Sleep Ride at https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...randroid&hl=en

Haven't played around with all it can do, but it tracks your ride for you just fine. There's another one call Greatest Road which I'll play with next.

Thought I'd share with the forums for the people who like to intentionally get 'lost'....

When my location is turned on on my phone I can track it through Google Maps. I've never thought about looking for an app... good idea.

I use "MY TRACKS" on Android. Its very cool. Although I do loose GPS signal at times.
Great for re-locating some of those senic lost rides I take.

I've used Mapmyride.com and Strava for mountain biking and road riding...should work for cruising along in your scoot!

That's the only positive with using the location services, it uses the phone location and not GPS.
