Default upgraded already!!

Guys
I bought my first Harley Davidson 2 months ago...pics to follow....it is a Sportster 883 Iron in denim black with V&H exhausts and drag bars....LOVE IT.....then I went to Florida for a weeks road trip and I hired a Breakout...wow do I love that bike.....so here's the problem!!
When I came back from my trip 10 days ago...I ran to my garage, jumped onto my 883 and drove out onto the road.....looking for the pegs, feeling the tank tooo small, the bike toooo light.....the seating position strange ( you get the picture!)
So already I have upgraded my bike, I couldn't afford a Breakout but I did buy a 48 and I have ordered new pipes, a 4.5 gal tank and drag bars....oh and I'm looking for a springer seat for it...?
So the cost of my Florida adventure has risen by a fair amount but boy am I excited.........
Next stop HD Museum in Milwaukee in 7 weeks ( no bike this time though!)
cheers
M

Softails (Breakout) are really only good on straight flat roads - something that Florida has no shortage of.

A light bike will be better handling than a heavy one especially in the turns.

You sound like me.

I bought my first bike a year ago May too big for a beginner

Traded it foe a 1200C too small for me

Traded tha for a Softail Duece just right :-)

I guess you could call me Goldilocks.

To be honest I kinda wish I still had my Sportster for some fun around town. They are a blast to throw around and make it do what you want it to do. But with having a bagger already when I wanted to get a Dyna the Sportster had to go. The Dyna is fun but nothing like getting on that Sportster and making it do whatever I want vs on the Dyna where I can only aggressively ask it...if that makes any sense.

wait... you upgraded your sportster to a sportster? you say your iron had too small a tank but you then went to an even smaller tank.

this is going to get very expensive for you.

not a slam, and I do like sportsters, just having a hard time following your thought process. in the grand scheme of things, if you're happy, that's all that counts.

i upgraded to a 1200 which is slightly larger than the 883 and I am fitting a 4.5 gal tank so in my little world it's a bigger bike ?.....I like the Sportster so why not get a different one and change a few things!
we all have to start somewhere mate.
cheers
