Default Transport Mode

Rode the "Auto Train" from Fl to Va and when I drove up onto the loading platform, the attendant asked me to put it into Transport Mode. Never heard of it and didn't have manual, so he advised I leave my key fob on the bike. So I did, when I arrived in Va, two bikes were off loaded, mine and another guy. He didn't leave his key fob on the bike and didn't put it into transport mode. His battery was dead and mine was good to go, fortunately they are prepared and had a quick charge available.

Learned a very valuable lesson, I cut out the owner's record from back of the manual and now secured on the bike.

live and learn.

yep. don't put it in transport mode, and your lights are gonna be blinking the whole way there.

it's a pretty simple procedure to do, but I do it so rarely that I have to look it up in the manual before hand. just remember, if you cycle the ignition, you've taken it out of mode and will need to do the procedure again (if needed)

Very useful to know how to set into transport mode. I have my instructions on a note in my iPhone. Used it on the ferry from Muskegon to Milwaukee in July.

Yea it's a simple procedure, Off - on - off - on - left blink - right blink - off - off- brake - horn - blink - blink. haha.

Seriously, I never remember how to do it. I hang the key fob from the mirror when the bike is in the toy hauler. lol

When you state "cycle the ignition" does that mean starting the bike?

No, not starting the bike. Just turn the ignition on (as if you were going to start it) and then turn it off.
