Hello everyone I'm new to the forum but I have been reading hd forums for a long time to help me work on my 86 superglide and I had a few questions maybe some more knowledgeable riders might be able to help me out with I have smoke coming out of both pipes does anyone have an idea of why? So I can know what I'm looking at price wise to fix?

I'm no expert, but that sounds more like piston rings to me. Have you tested compression? Might give you a better idea of what's going on.

 

The smoke is blue so I've been told that's oil smoke and it only smokes out of the pipe from the front head after getting real hot. And I've not tested compression but I'll deffinetly look into that as well.
