What part of CT are you in?
There is a "northeast" section...they oddly lumped CT in with NY and NJ....even though more of us ride around MA, RI, NH, etc...wish they put CT in with the other New England states...since..ya know...CT in part of New England.

Anywho....here's that sub forum..

And the one that is more relevant..the rest of the New England states..

Actually, I grew up in NY and CT was always considered part of the tri-state area (NY, NJ and CT). In relation to New England sport teams, CT usually relates to NY teams and the northeast relates to Boston teams.

That all depends on what side of CT you live, on the west side your right but YeOldeStonecat lives on the east side and there a lot of Boston fans on this side of the world

Tri-State association is only due to the dense part of CT that sticks into NY..Greenwich 'n stuff. Rest of CT (greater than 3/4 of it) considers itself part of New England. Tradtional hearty rugged New Englanders (OK..skip Hartford).

CT is one of the six New England states. We associate ourselves with New England, and moan and bitch about NY and NY plates clogging up our highways on your way through our state to northern beach states.

Sportswise? Although I really don't give a hoot about sports, save for that little part of CT that sticks into NY (greenwich, fairfield, etc)...no...it's Red Sox and Patriots over Yankees.

Add up the borders...that long border along MA, and the east border against RI. The MA border alone is probably twice the length of the NY border.
