Default Does a new speedometer need calibrated?

Speedo was jumping around and stopped working a couple times so I started looking into it. First I pulled the speed sensor and cleaned it off. There was a small amount of metal shavings on it but nothing to be too concerned about. It worked fine for a week or two then started acting up again so I bought a new speed sensor and installed that. Since then it has worked fine. Just wondering though... if it starts acting up again and I need to replace the speedo its self with a new one will it need to be calibrated or do they come from the manufacturer already calibrated? Its an 03 Road King by the way. And I have to go with aftermarket because the OEM part is obsolete already.

No calibrations needed...Unless.....You want officially dispute your speed tickets, proving that the police laser guns who caught you are indicating the wrong speed...
