Threat from behind!

Threat from behind!
I recently installed a BAL-1 taillight on my CVO Ultra.
I programmed the brake light with the "warning blinker", then to solid.
I have the "warning" blinker on the eye-level brake light on another vehicle and I think (at least hope) that it may help prevent someone hitting me from behind.
In less than two weeks, we've had two bikers killed near me when they were hit from behind by drivers that were either distracted or just not paying attention.
Watch your mirrors and be prepared to take evasive action if needed!

I was rear ended at a stoplight, in a turn lane, watching and waiting for a pickup to do his left turn opposite me. Then WHAM! I was on the ground. She bumped me about 10' forward. She said she was taking her nurses badge off. Whatever.
I guess she didn't see my 48 in 2 LEDs bulb stop lights.

Have the BAL along with TL phase 7 up front as well and way too many scenario possibilities to go over but while at a stop I like to keep the bike in gear/clutch in and WATCH MY MIRRORS!!!! An escape route could save your butt. Having the eyes of an eagle would not be bad either.

yup keep ya bikes in 1st gear the throttle blippin all the way thru a red light. if you dont have the fancy lights, work over your brake levers and make em flash yerself. Keep your eyes in the mirrors and on the sides. They come from any and all directions any time of day. AND dont sit in the right hand turn lane going straight just to be 1st in line and the 1st to get hit by someone turning right looking the other damn way.
