Default The smell of diesel

I can't stand it when a diesel vehicle pulls in front of me when I'm riding my motorcycle. It especially bugs me when there is no one behind me which is usually the case. Do the drivers know their vehicles stink?

Some of the cow farms we pass almost knock you off the bike. Hopefully I never experience a diesel chicken truck.

Thumbs down

They might know they stink, they just don't care. Diesel pickups around here usually have megaphone exhaust pipe tips so they're louder, and the owners/drivers don't add the non smoke agent to their fuel, so when they stomp on it, everyone gets a smoke bath.

You've stimulated my pet peeve. I have COPD anyway, and I have to hold my breath until I can get away from that awful smoke. Responsible truck drivers, such as fleet trucks, aren't nearly as bad as the idiots who think driving a diesel pickup makes them badass.

I love the smell of diesel, but then again all my trucks are diesel. That being said they're stock, I don't "roll coal".....

Yes, we know our diesels stink, in fact I count on it. don't park near the right rear of my Power Stroke Diesel.

If I could get a Harley with a diesel, I would.

Seriously? I love the smell of diesel. Reminds me of jet fuel, cuz it's basically the same thing. Diesel burned and unburned smells way better than gasoline, imo. It's actually better for the environment than gasoline, btw.
